The purpose of the Celebrate Recovery Program at River Valley Christian Fellowship is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through working the principles. This experience allows us to be changed. We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths, and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving the problems in our lives.

By working and applying the program, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly a stronger personal relationship with God and others.

As we progress through the program, we discover our personal, loving and forgiving higher power – Jesus Christ.

Celebrate Recovery is a biblically based, Christ-centered program that invites people on a journey toward freedom and forgiveness.

Issues such as alcohol addiction, chemical dependency, food addictions, sexual addictions, co-dependency, anger, and smoking are tackled along with many other hurts and habits.

At Celebrate Recovery we have large group meeting every Friday night at 7:00 p.m., followed by open share groups at 7:45 p.m. and finishing with Solid Rock Café at 8:30 p.m.

At our large group meeting we listen to a lesson prepared by one of our leaders detailing one of the principles or we have testimonies from those who have had success in their recovery. In the open share groups we separate by gender and by issue. We meet for an hour and discuss anything that is on the conscience of our attendees. Solid Rock Café allows us to gather back together in a large group for a time of food and fellowship.

Celebrate Recovery is a support group. We do not provide counseling, we are not counselors. We are a group of people who understand the addictive power of sin and God’s healing power to break the chain of addiction and are willing to share our own experiences. One of the most important aspects of Celebrate Recovery is our confidentiality. We have a motto, “Who you see here and what you hear here, when you leave here, let it stay here.”
