New friends.
Major life decisions.
It can seem like everything in our life is changing. At River Valley we believe that in the midst of change and uncertainty there is a constant.
Jesus.
He never changes, leaves us, or forgets about us. He still calls us to follow Him and calls us to live deeply with others. This is the reason we offer small groups and college Sunday School class. We want to be a consistent reminder of the love and call of Christ. We believe that these two environments give us an opportunity to grow in Christ and build deep meaningful relationships.
Small groups
Groups serve as the primary means of community and gospel transformation, realizing that change occurs in intentional, Christ-centered relationships. They meet in homes at different times and places throughout the week.
Sunday School
The college Sunday School is called Patria. This is the Greek word for "family" but not just immediate family, but a group of families that belong to the same tribe, nation, or heritage. That is the way we view the class. People who are from many different families and have different backgrounds living as God's family as we follow Christ.
Every Sunday morning at 10 am we meet to study revelant life issues and/or Scripture based life lessons. We wrestle with difficult passages and discuss what it looks like to be a disciple of Jesus in our world.
